Exclusive: Anti-Fracking Filmmaker Josh Fox Arrested In Finger Lakes Protest
The creator of the award-winning film ‘Gasland’ was just arrested at a protest in rural New York. Here’s the mini-documentary he made on the eve of his arrest.

On April 3rd 2015 representatives of New York based antifracking group Frack Action addressed a large crowd in the Ballroom of Romance Glenfarne Co.Leitrim Ireland. Frack Action were visiting the country to relay their experiences in successfully achieving a ban on fracking in New York State and encouraging Irish communities and legislators to strive for the same.

The event was attended by big numbers from the local community, and a number of cross party TDs,Senators, and County Councilliors.

A major conference on the impact of Fracking hosted by Sinn Féin MEP Martina Anderson and chaired by Fermanagh/South Tyrone MP Michelle Gildernew at the Lough Erne resort in County Fermanagh heard speaker after speaker call for an outright ban or moratorium on Fracking across Ireland.
The packed conference heard from leading experts across many fields including health, environment, economics and agriculture outline their concerns and fears regarding hydraulic fracturing of shale gas not just for society today but for future generations.

Ruth Coppinger accused of describing gardai in Jobstown arrests as ‘dogs’
THERE were furious scenes in the Dail today after Socialist TD Ruth Coppinger was accused of describing members of An Garda Siochana involved in the Jobstown arrests as “dogs”.
